This is just something that struck us as funny…

At one of our recent weddings we spotted a little girl in what we thought was a very “interesting” outfit for the reception.

But as the night went on we quickly realized, her Mom (or Dad) is a GENIUS!!

This little girl is graceful enough to turn a “i fell down” into a “this is a somersault and i did it on purpose” And her parents are smart enough to put her in a beautiful dress…… with pants underneath so she can have a great time being a kid, jumping around and dancing without the constant “sweetie keep your dress down”. I love this idea! And i have to say as simple as it is i don’t know that i would have ever thought of it. But if we ever have another child and it’s a little girl you can bet she’ll be wearing pants under her dresses.lol. If she’s anywhere near as graceful as me she’ll need them!!

Our first beach trash the dress of the season!!

This makes it official….. for us summer is here!!I had such a good time with Lyndsey and Jim during their “Trash the Dress” session. We got some urban shots walking through downtown Wilmington, NC and then hit Wrightsville Beach. The weather was perfectly warm but the water was still pretty cold. Lyndsey and Jim (and me) braved the cold water and managed to get some really fun shots. Can’t wait for the next one!

We like to get out to the beach as soon as it starts to get warm so we are psyched to have beach weddings so early in the year…. it’s a great excuse to be close to the water!

Jim and Lyndsey’s beach wedding was another gorgeous (and very breezy) one. The Ohio alums added so many personal touches to the day, from playing Ohio state music to a choreographed line dance by the bride and groom as the conclusion of their first dance. They made sure all of the out-of-town guests feel right at home while on vacation!

We find ourselves going through our photographs over and over for various reasons whether it be posting to our blogs, building albums for our brides or putting together portfolios for our business. Whatever the reason we see our photos A LOT! From time to time our style changes just a little and when we go through our older albums we fall in love with photographs that didn’t really jump out at us before. So here are some of our new favorites! We hope you love them as much as we do!!!

Everyone had such a great time!

This Wedding was fantastic! Everyone had a great time, great food, great music and a great couple. The Embassy Suites of Crabtree did an awesome job. Tamiko and Orlando were all smiles the entire day! We love our brides!!

Snowy Trash the Dress

We had such a great time with this shoot & we’re so pleased with the results! Fighting the cold was tough especially for the girls but they still managed to push through it and look amazing.

These photos are so unique, especially for brides in our area. We had such a great time i think we’re going to make it an annual shoot. Every year, after the first (possibly only) snow of the year we will offer our brides (past or present) a free photo shoot in the snow. It’s a great excuse to wear your beloved wedding dress again with very little effects to the dress.

Trash the Dress in the Snow!!

Today we are off to Raleigh, NC to do a “Trash the Dress” Shoot in the freshly fallen snow! We are so excited to able to take advantage of this rare weather. We’ve never done a trash the dress shoot in the snow so it should be interesting. I have a feeling it’s going to prove to be a challenge for us as photographers as well as our bride Shana… dealing with the cold and slush in a strapless dress, she is obviously a very brave women We loved her wedding photos and can’t wait to see how these turn out!!

Off to work!! (i love that our “work” is really a lot more like play!)
